TOOL DESIGNER
A premier custom molders of close tolerance, engineered resins, has an opportunity for a Tool Designer.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Tool Design Manager, this position includes working with internal and external customers and vendors on design requirements and interpretation. It also includes using discretion and independent judgment to design and draw new molds of a complex nature using Pro-E CAD systems to meet customer's needs and internal production requirements and quality standards.

Requirements:
Education or training with a degree in design engineering
2 yrs. in mold design, 1 yr. drafting and 3 yrs in moldmaking
Plastic injection molding production and equipment techniques
Blueprint interpretation, drafting technology and Pro-E CAD/CAM systems and its application
Plastic material characteristics and shrinkage factors
Trigonometry and geometry
Prefer a candidate with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
