An industrial Manufacturer is seeking a Commodity Director responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services from suppliers within their responsible commodity group.

Responsibilities:

		Oversee negotiation of all contracts and purchase agreements supporting product development, start-up and ongoing production for commodity suppliers.
		Select and classify suppliers.
		Provide expert guidance to the Supply Management Executive Team on any current or future factors that may influence a commodity, a supplier or relationship with a supplier.
		Support divisional cost reduction efforts.

Qualifications:

		Experience leading a group of self-motivated procurement people
		Expertise in project and program management.
		Knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean supply chain performance.
		Working knowledge of design, manufacturing and quality engineering.
		Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
		Skill and knowledge in specialized techniques and principles of purchasing with an emphasis on truck and automotive components.
		A proven track record of delivering results.
