Medical device and diagnostics company is seeking a Senior level mechanical engineer to design, document, and test mechanical and system level assemblies.

Responsibilities

Design, document, and test mechanical and electromechanical systems and assemblies.
Design, document, and test of consumables.
Adherence to all design control requirements associated with an FDA regulated environment.
Coordinates with and provides leadership to other engineers on assigned work including supervision of technician work output.
Work with cross functional team including, software, electronics, applications, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Provide technical leadership in mechanical systems.
Participate in design and other technical reviews providing mechanical expertise.
Actively participate in the verification and validation of systems and assemblies.
Assist in the development of the user and product specifications required for development of new systems.
Assist in the transfer to manufacturing of all new products, or changes to existing products.

Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Desire a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of work experience
Design experience using 3D CAD.
Experience designing electromechanical systems and assemblies.
Experience in working with and leading cross functional teams.
Desire a minimum of 3 years experience working within the medical device or diagnostics industry.
Experience with high volume plastic consumables.
Design experience using SolidWorks.
